I was looking through Amazon and a few other websites like that because i like to compile lists of what i think are hypothetical ultimate computer configs (that i, in no way, could afford) and I notices that there were different versions of the same processor (eg. WOF, WOF Unlocked, TRAY, TRAY unlocked, BOX) priced differently but no changes in compression between specs. So I was just wondering what they actually were. What does Wof, Tray and Box stand for and what are their differences?
tray = you just get the CPU unpackaged (from a tray)
box = CPU + Cooler in a box
WOF = without original fan
Okay... so why is the Box cheaper than WOF, and Tray the most expensive of the lot? I thought it would be completely the other way around. Not to mention that box claims top be a 125W when the others are 220W.
