I would like as much help from anyone that can lend it, My end goal is to be an ethical hacker, Qualified.
I plan to take Comptia route up to advanced security, then move to CEH and below is how I plan to get there.
A+ - Network+ - Linux+ - Server+ - Security+ - Advanced Security Practitioner - CEH.
I want to do the Linux one so I have a very good understanding of the OS.
I was tempted to CISCO but I personally don't see the point over Comptia.
Programming I'm learning C/C++/Python/SQL, And certifications?
I'm unsure on any MS qualifications that maybe taken?
If I end up getting to CEH I will more than likely end up going to Black Hat convention if its still going then, Id love to do Red v Blue training :)
Thanks in advance!
If you're going that right I would skip right past the network and A+ and go straight for the security + cert. Past that get your CCNA in Security. I don't have too much advice beyond that since I'm a hardware person and enjoy working with the hardware stuff. I'll ask my buddy that does that exact job and see what he says.
I know he knows java and C# but beyond that I don't think he knows any other languages.
Okay thanks :) I always thought the better route would be to learn networking and most of the hardware, ah well I can still study them :) and thanks Id love to see what your friend says :)
You're welcome. I haven't heard back from him yet but I didn't mention that he has his Computer Science degree. That's probably going to be something to look at.
Well I'm planning on joining uni for computer science and do network+ then security and ccna security and then plan to stay in networking for a few years then move to hacking :-)
