just looking for help to build a $5000 - $30.000 computer system that i can use as mechanic that i can do content creation on both 2d 3d composting rendering editing video and Music production on would like to know what system in my budget that will do what i need it to do and on the side gaming too would like to know what gpus cpu motherboards ram and other components you guys would use
Thank you
Abbey
Well, with a budget like that, you could build a couple of supercomputers xD.
Here's a starting point. More info on the programs you are going to be using would help.

Thank you just checked out that site thanks
i am going to be using avid protools and Media Composer Adobe cs 6 and auto cad myra Divinci resolve
I am also editing 4k content
You definitely need a professional monitor that's more focused on color accuracy than hertz like gaming monitors are. Also, a freaking Quadro/FirePro for official workstation drivers supported by production suites.
With that build, it sounds like time is money, so I think you would really want a socket 2011 build.
I would go for something like this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Jhz8jX
with an additional: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/pny-video-card-vcq6000pb in SLI
You could run multiple of these in the budget. I would install the OS to the 128gb SSD and install your rendering programs to a ram drive for fastest possible rendering times. Have the rendered files sent to the large 1TSSD's in a raid 0 configuration and use the HDD's as backup.
In addition to having a few of these around, I would probably recommend having a large local NAS for sharing all the files and storing them long term.
I would add a GTX 780ti too so you could game. The quadros aren't ment for gaming and your budget allows it so why not
I'm not too sure if you could switch between them, though. There would probably be driver issues.
With that kind of money laying around I am willing to guess this is for strictly business. If it isn't then I would just make a separate computer just for gaming. I think the rendering machine will be utilized as much as possible for rendering projects.
Yeah, a seperate rig for gaming would probably be better. Add in an HDMI switcher if OP wants to use the same monitors.(or displayport I suppose, if 4K needs to be higher than 30hz)
If he really wants one system, the Quadro 6000 should have around GTX 480 performance. Not the greatest, but not bad either.
yeah, if he wanted to game AND render then he should get titan z's on that budget. The quadro comes with more support from nvidia though that is more angled toward business usage. That can be pretty important.
The main work is still in the drivers, though. The hardware may be similar, but the more stable and productivity-oriented drivers make workstation cards better than their GeForce counterparts(when you're doing productivity applications)
heres my system i ended up building dual 12 core xeon e5 2697 2.7 ghz cpu ram 64 gb 1600 ghz ecc memory motherboard intel s2600COE case cooler master cosmos ultra 11 psu Corsair ax1500i the water cooling systems two corsair h90s two quadro k5000 in SLI four wd black drive in raid 5 two samsung Evo 840 500 GB ssds with windows 7 pro on the firs ssd also running windows8.1 on the second ssd
