Need Help Helping a Friend

Hello everyone, like the title says, I need help with helping a friend. He has asked me to help him build a computer, the only issue is, I haven't been paying attention to anything technology, so I'm out of the loop and don't really know what parts to use.

So if you can help me, that would be fantastic! He has a max budget of $1200, the problem is, I live in Canada, and prices here aren't exactly the greatest since our dollar sucks! But anything helps!

Thanks!

This is a parts list I did for my brother $1085 USD. I don't know how to pick Canadian part suppliers but it will give you a good place to start.

I selected a new Skylake CPU and a 1080p graphics card. I didn't include any hard drives because he has plenty but I did put a kick ass Samsung 950 Pro SSD. You may elect to get a regular 850 Evo to save money. You should get a 2TB HD in addition to the SSD.

I have a be quiet! Silent Base 800, but it is a big expensive high quality case. I picked the SB600 because it is a little smaller and less expensive. You can find you like the look of a cheaper case. Fractal Design makes really good ones.
You should specify what size he wants. The mini-ITX PC's are mighty cool.

I would go with a 380 but okay.

This teeny tiny NUC may be an option but the CPU seems weak.

Thank you for the help! I look through everyone's builds and chose yours since it was the closest to what I was looking for price wise. I edited it a little and it came out to $1250 after taxes, I'll go over things with him tomorrow and make minor changes if needed.

Thanks again!

Do they need a monitor, keyboard, mouse?
