Need help finding the wifi standard I am using

I am having a bit of trouble here. On the device manager my wireless network adapter says that my computer supports “802.11b” standard (I am on a 4-5 year old laptop), however using the command “netsh wlan show interfaces” on CMD lists the radio type as “802.11n” which doesn’t make sense since my device shouldn’t support it. Can anyone help me clear things up?

Thanks a lot!

Hey,
If I were you I would open the bottom compartment and look at the wireless card it self. if this is hard to get to, can you provide your make and model of the machine?

If it's only 4 or 5 years old I doubt that it's using the b standard. It would be at least g but if it's saying n then it probably is, n has been around for a while now.
