I need help finding a keyboard for my setup. here are the requirements:
*Must be a membrane switch or a super cheap red mechanical. I really prefer membrane
*LED backlit. preferred to be able to change the color
*Minimum of 1 USB pass through
*Reasonably priced
As simple as that sounds, you can't find too much out there. I know Logitech works with membrane mostly but none of them are what I'm looking for. If you know of a board that fits what I'm looking for please let me know!
I have no idea what "Reasonably Priced" means to you. $20? $50? $80? But the Saitek, er, Mad Catz? Cyborg seems to have everything you want:

So if $77 is reasonable to you, then there you go... But like Kai said, it's a very subjective thing whether or not you'll enjoy typing on it. Even membrane keyboards can differ greatly in feel. Then again, from what you've said so far it seems features are more important to you than typing experience. So it may not matter to you.
There's also this for slightly more than the Cyborg:
http://www.amazon.com/Genius-Illumination-GX-GAMING-IMPERATOR-PRO/dp/B007Z1CW7Q
And I also found this thing for quite a bit less:
http://www.outletpc.com/cu8334-t10-gaming-keyboard.html#TB_inline?height=600&width=550&inlineId=eyInsets&modal=false
But I've never head of the brand, or the website that's selling it (I also found it on ebay though, for slightly more). Nor do I know if it has a usb pass-thru, it doesn't mention it so it may well not.
set up a budget
makes a list of mandatory features you want, and secondary features you would compromise on
search Amazon, Tiger Direct, New Egg, ect ... and go to the computer peripherals and keyboards and or mice.
filter out based on said mandatory features and take your pick
