Need help deciding!

Hello everyone or whoever bothers to read this. I have put together a few different Micro-ATX builds and have narrowed it down to 2, one is Intel based and the other is AMD based. I'll post the specs for both down below, if you have any suggestions, like if you would change anything about the builds, feel free to let me know. One thing you need to keep in mind is I am in Canada so parts are more expensive. Thanks in advance :)

AMD Micro-ATX build

CPU: AMD 760k

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A88X-D3H

RAM: VisionTek Label 8GB (900408) (Cheapest 8GB DDR3 1600 RAM I could find...)

Storage: WD 1TB Caviar Blue

GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 270X

Case: Antec GX700

PSU: Corsair CX500W (Could have went with the 430W but the 500W is 7 dollars more... So yea.)

Optical Drive: ASUS DRW-24F1ST 24X SATA DVD Writer Black

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit

Total: $838.59

Intel Micro-ATX build

CPU: Intel Core i3-3240

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H

RAM: VisionTek Label 8GB

Storage: WD 1TB Caviar Blue

GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 270X

Case: Cooler Master N200

PSU: Corsair CX500W

Optical Drive: ASUS DRW-24F1ST 24X SATA DVD Writer Black

Operating System: Windows 8.1 OEM (64Bit) (Most likely gonna stick with Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit, 1 dollars difference between them)

Total: $832.23

I've been leaning more towards the AMD build since it's just a little cheaper and motherboard seems to be better.

This is a AMD ATX build I put together as well, the reason I wanted to go with Micro-ATX is because he doesn't have the biggest room and he would be getting the same performance with a smaller size computer, but here is the part list for ATX build.

TX build

CPU: AMD 760k

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A88X-D3H

RAM: VisionTek Label 8GB (900408)

Storage: WD 1TB Caviar Blue

GPU: ASUS GTX 660 OC DirectCU 2GB (Comes with Splinter Cell Blacklist and Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag)

Case: Antec GX700

PSU: Corsair CX500W

Optical Drive: ASUS DRW-24F1ST 24X SATA DVD Writer Black

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit

Total: $838.59

Total with Sapphire Radeon R9 270X: $851.25

.....what is the PC for?

Lol my bad forgot to mention that, strictly gaming

Generally, AMD builds are not that great if you're not going ATX. The motherboards are usually low quality. Also, i this case the intel CPU beats the AMD, particularly in single threaded applications, while also having lower power consumption. You are, however, missing a power supply in the intel build which makes it look like that is more expensive than the other.

God damn it! Fixed the power supply thing lol same as the AMD and the total for the intel build does include the PSU

AMD. though I try to avoid Gigabyte.

how about http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/213Ft

shaved nearly $100 off for getting some games too.

the Asus GPU has their direct CUII cooler-so if you ever want to overclock, heat wont be the issue

I have put together that same build before but if you actually go to Canada computers for the PSU its actually like 74.99 or something the reason it says 49.99 on PcPartPicker is cuz of the mail-in rebate which I am trying to avoid, and this is my friends build, I told him about ASUS GPU and I am sure that he wont be buying this pc anytime soon so the sale isn't that important.
