Need Help Choosing Video Card

Well I currently own a MSI Lightning II 5870 @ 1005Mhz/1225

Plays every game I have fine, (Playing @ 1080p)

Except FF14, BF:BC2, and of course Crysis.

Those games eyecandy isn't maxed.

I Will be playing Battlefield 3 primarily when that launches.

I love eyecandy so I was wondering if I should upgrade to a gtx 580/570 or 6970/6950 flashed.

Also do I even need an upgrade? Should I just wait for the AMD 7xxx and GTX6xx. I haz the money now. This upgrade will be the last one. FOR AN UBER LONG TIME.

Thanks

i would probably wait for the time being. But y not get another 5870 in put it in crossfireX

Have you considered putting two mid-end cards in crossfire/SLI?

The 560 Tis perform outstanding in SLI. Better than a 580 for less money.

If I was you, 560 SLI is the way to go.

Also, you still got that 1090t? You might want to get an i5 or something a bit better. My 1055t @ 4GHz used to bottleneck 6850 crossfire.

wait did u just say your 5870 dosnt max Crysis or BFBC2. strange....dual 560Tis would b great but I assume if u have a 1090T your board probablly wont SLi without the hack? 6950 or 580 look like good options if you need a powerful card.

actually no, there are 2GB 570s now, get that wont dissapoint

well, its not constantly above 60 with all eyecandy.

Exit Fraps>set to max settings> cant tell difference

yeah i can play BC2 and crysis with no noticeable lag on my 5850

Turn down the AA if you want more fps since it makes such a small difference at 1080p but you pay for it big time performance wise

pff, i7>1090t>i5

How is an i5 worse than a 1090T?

Games hardly use hyperthreading, and the extra cache in i7s hardly make a difference. i7s and i5s are equal in games, so how is an i7 better than an i5 (presuming you're meaning in games)

When I upgraded from my 1055t @ 4GHz to my 2600k, there was a massive improvement in some games.

A sandy bridge i5 will beat any Phenom in games

I was talking in general, not gaming. Preference wise 2600k>1090t>2500k

I think I'll just wait then. ty for suggestions
