Need help choosing OC mobo

i got 150$ canadian to drop on a mobo for my phenom 720 which isn't OC'd right now..

i was looking at this:

http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=36856&vpn=GA-MA790X-UD4P&manufacture=Gigabyte

seems the best for the price,the asus ones are nice but i haven't seen the oc's as good on them and they cost a bit more..i dont care for the DDR3 ram,but i really wanna hit atleast 3.6..

any recommendations would be great...thanks :)

I ordered that mobo... I'll tell you about it monday.

my main concern is ram compatibility,there's not alot of ram listed in QVL

ummm i dont think there's p45's for AMD CPU's :|

what board are you using now? mostly every board now has OC options

also just go with gigabyte or asus those are the best as i see it

never used amd so i really cant help you

<Gigabyte

<Asus

I would highly recommend.

thanks for confirming my decision to go with this board guys

im using ASUS M2N-E 570..the max i hit on this was 3.2 with 1.4V and than set back to stock...i wanna get a lot higher :D "pun intended"

Gigabyte > assus

i had an asus, i could barley get my cpu to 3 ghz, then i got a Gigabyte EP35-DS3P now i can get the cpu to 3.8ghz. no lie.

O LOL i had the m2n-e aswell, BEAUTIFUL mobo. i gave it to my friend, somehow when he got it, two capacitors went up in flames, the fan controllers are dead but the board works fine.

I recommend the MSI gd70 if you can afford ddr3.

some good ddr3 can be found for about 25$

i've managed to get my 720 up to 3.7 and its pretty damm fast....its at 1.56V so im kinda concerned as i plan on keeping this speed and my hardware for atleast 1 and a half too 2 years because the highest voltage i've gone with was 1.4V......

mahh...will see

amd = asus
intel = gigabyte
so yAAAA

Gigabyte have good boards, i have the GA-EX58-UD5 and it rocks.

I've gotta say the Nvidia chipsets are delicious, particularly EVGA for the godly support.

I've gotten to 4GHZ with:
E7200 & 680i LT
Q9550 & 780i SLI

I'll admit, the Q9550 is on water, while the E72 was on air, but I highly doubt a mobo adds heat to the CPU.
