I recently bought Baldur's Gate 1 (used), and just received it today. I got the manual, quick reference guide, map, and 5-disc sleeve, everything but the box. Everything is in great condition, and I mean really great condition. But, I noticed the first disc had some scratching. Not too bad looking, but I thought it might be fine. I've ran games with worse scratching than that, after all. Well, I start installation, and I get this:
an error occured during the move data process -106
Component: Program Files
File Group: MinimumData
File: CHAANIM.bif
I'm almost certain it's a disc problem, but perhaps one of you have had a similar problem that wasn't the disc? I've tried to install several times; The minimum, the recommended, the maximum. I restarted the computer several times to try again, and even booted in safe mode to try. Cleaned the disc with a spray of water and a microfiber cloth, making sure to wipe from the middle out, a few times. Despite my best efforts, the error persists. Damn shame too, everything else is beautiful.
All of my system requirements check out, and I have been able to run other Infinity Engine games such as Baldur's Gate II and Icewind Dale without issue. All drivers for my system are up-to-date.

Can anyone help me out or are you guys thinking this is a disc problem like me?
