So my internet recently became really bad and i need something to play offline while they fix it, my favorite games of all time are skyrim and borderlands 2, is there any good similar games out there that i should try?
The Witcher games are very good, but they're not really open world in the sense that Skyrim is. There's some exploration, but it has some fairly linear parts as well. It might be worth trying if you're willing to give up the open world aspect, but I'd recommend waiting for a steam sale. Usually the Witcher 1 drops to $2 and the Witcher 2 drops to $4.

although i really like the kind of looting that borderlands and skyrim has (i know borderlands has more stuff but you get it) so is there any of that stuff in witcher?

Fallout, a hundred times Fallout.... Fallout 3 is the better one but a lot of people like New Vegas. There nothing wrong with New Vegas but 3 is better. Especially with some of the mods. If you decide on 3, it has issues starting so look here for troubleshooting.

Have you played any of the older Elder Scrolls games ? imo morrowind is the best and with the graphical mods it looks awesome.
Dragon Age: Origins, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Mass Effect trilogy, Fallout 3, and Dark Souls.
well, ive played morrowind at a friends house once but i couldnt handle the graphics ( yea im that guy) so ill check out those mods and see if i like it
