So, last Tuesday I ordered 2x Samsung 840 Evo ssd's to run in Raid 0. I just got them in today and started setting them up. I finally got the raid configured and was going to reinstall Windows 8, using the recovery USB drive I made and none of the options work. The system reset option says it's missing an essential partition. I still have the other hard drive, but for some reason it seems to not want to boot anymore, since installing the ssd's. Is there anyway to get windows 8 back? In case it matters, I did the windows 8 upgrade, from windows 7, so I do not have the original discs. Also, I know that with windows 8, your activation key is stored in the BIOS, but I had to update the BIOS to get raid to work. Do I have any hope of getting this back up and running? Thanks for any and all help. I have some game keys I can give out if anyone can help me through this.
When moving to ssd you pretty much need top do a clean install. Hope everything works out.
