Need help and advise to lower the price on computer build

Hello Tek Syndicate Community:

I am currently trying to build a gaming and rendering PC for about $1500-1800. I've recently created a version of my build on pc part picker but I still need it to be a little cheaper (its currently $2,085). I will be using this computer for productive programs such as Adobe Suite and Pro Tools. And I will also be playing some computer games such as FO4, DOTA 2, Battlefront, and Battlefield4. Looking to be playing games at min(60) fps.

Essentially I need your advise to help me decide what components I should downgrade to (from my current build) and still be able to run these programs and games at their highest settings. Also, considering that I already have a SATA drive, which SSD drive of the ones I have already chosen would you pick if you only had one option?

You can see the build that I made at: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/b48rK8

Thank you for your help,

Dany

Well you could start here, the 390 overall is better performance per dollar, and a Fury is a better choice over a 980 I'd say, it beats the stock 980 by a fair bit, and if you get an adaptive sync display down the line you save money on free-sync as well

Granted the motherboard is total overkill

I would keep the 980 since Adobe's software also uses CUDA for rendering some things and replace your ssds with a 500gb samsung 850 evo or pro and a 1tb or more hhd for storing footage, you will fill up your drive pretty quickly. Also I would replace the psu with a corsair rm1000 or rm850 and that sould bring you down to around $1800-1850. Eventually, if you are able to use ethernet over wi-fi, I would also get rid of the wi-fi adapter and invest that money in more ram. If you really are going to use this machine for "productive programs such as Adobe Suite and Pro Tools" you will soon be wishing you had more than 16gb.
