Need hard drive for NAS server

Making myself a NAS out of an old dell i have, dug up an old sata raid card (Old but high end) and I'm just about ready to order the few parts i need like a new PSU and CPU fan, but i also need hard drives. first off, its gotta be atleast 1.5 to 3tb in size because i do allot of video work. second i don't wanna pay more then $325 for all the drives. And it needs to be RELIABLE! i need two for the raid one capabilities, but even with that extra level of precaution id want a very reliable drive.

oh, and a good network card would be nice sugestion for me :)

WD red. specialist NAS drives

Get WD reds, im assuming you in the States so here is the cheapest place you can get 2TB reds is NCIX

 http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=74268&vpn=WD20EFRX&manufacture=Western%20Digital%20WD&promoid=1338

you maight get 3TB ones if you wish, and any Intel NIC Should be good, are you looking for one more more gigabit ports ?

I recommend getting an SSD for the OS/server, as well as any larger, frequently accessed files. Samsung 840 Pros are the current leaders of the SSD market, providing the fastest affordable storage for consumer grade SSDs. For mass storage, at least one Western Digitial Red 7200RPM NAS HDDs. They are currently on sale for $169.99 per 3TB HDD at Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236344 . Seagate makes some really good enterprise grades stuff, such as the Constellation CS. I have a 2TB Constellation ES in my current gaming/editing rig and it provides great speeds for an HDD, and I got it for $149.99 (CS is better for NAS - ES is more consumer grade)
