This will be a mid to high range gaming pc, and I will use it for school work too.
It would really help me if some one could really go through this build and really give me an honest opinion on the parts.
also If you do have any suggestions I plan on keeping this build under $975.
Thnkyou so much for helping with my very first build

get WD caviar blue hdd instead, much better reliability
and the xfx gpu's aren't that good, i'd go HIS IceQ or sapphire
First off, I'm gonna have to disagree with Commissar on that last comment, of all the manufacterers I've dealt with over the years, XFX (on the AMD side) and EVGA (on the Nvidia side) are the best GPU manufacterers in terms of build quality, customer service and warrenty. I've used HIS several times with no problems mind you, but there is nothing stunning about them, though I've found Sapphire's build quality to be inconsistant. I'd stick with the XFX card you choose, comes with a life time warrenty to boot.
The AsRock 970 Extreme 3 board get more attention than it deserves in my opinion, I think it gets that attention thanks to its much better Z77 brothers. If you want a solid mobo with good OC potential get one of these:

You don't need that much power for your system, consider this PSU instead:

Lastly, general rule of thumb is to not spend more than 10% of your budget on a case, you can get other cases that are just as good for a fair bit cheaper, but if your really lovin the black/orange look of that than thats fine. Just a bit pricey.
Thanks so much for this input also yeah I love Orange and Black so the money for me is worth it ;)
