Need Clean Audio Input

So I recently bought an AntLion ModMic 4.0 to record audio for my budding tech channel. Unfortunatly, despite being seperated from the rest of the PCB, my Asus Z97-Pro's onboard audio inputs (both front and back) have too much interference, I suspect it to be interference and not an impedance issue as the mod mic is designed to work with those inputs. I have an elderly studio grade DAT recorder made by JVC but the impedence isn't quite there to sound clean with the mod mic. I don't have the sponduli to spend more than about 60 bucks top on whatever I need to buy to get clean audio, what should I get?
