The subject says it all basically, I need new metal bands to listen too and I can't find any (probably because I don't know where to find any) so I've been listening to more mainstream stuff and I want to expand what I listen to any suggestions on bands are where to find new bands would be very helpful.

I'll try to suggest based on the bands listed:
1. Megadeth (Or if you didn't like their style, try Iron Savior and Testament)
2. Ruoska "the Finnish Rammstein" as I like to call it.
3. Iron Savior - even more so than on #1
4. Savage Circus, Blind Guardian
5. Wintersun
6. Judas Priest - there are so many bands like Iron Maiden, but Judas Priest is one of the best examples I can think of
7. This is the only one I don't have a suggestion for!

why has no one mentioned Iced Earth? They fit into this list as well as any band.
You have almost the exact same taste as me. And one my my favorite bands of all time is Twilight force. They do symphonic power metal. That shit gets better every time I listen to it. They only have one album out right now, even though they are growing they are still a pretty unknown band. Try "forest of destiny" and "the power of the ancient force".
Also give Machine Head a try. They don't really a style set in stone, my favorite albums by them are:
The Burning Red - kinda weird stuff, some rap and metal mixed, some relaxing chill stuff. Best ambient metal album IMO. Try "Desire to Fire" and "The Burning Red" (Warning, the Burning Red is not for everyone at all. It takes some time getting used too)
Supercharger - a album with more feeling, good lyrics. A more soft album but still with some power. I highly recommend "trephination" and "all in your head"
The Blackening - this is a fan favorite. Much longer songs, with some legendary riffs. Try "Halo" and "Beautiful Mourning"
Unto the Locust - my favorite album by machine head so far. The whole album has a very addicting sound, ones you start it's hard to stop. It has a good balance, not too soft, not too hard. Every song sounds diffident, which makes it a great album for people new the the genres as well as the older fans. That being said, I understand it's still not for everyone. Try "I am hell" and "Darkness Within"
