Need Awesome Cans

Does anyone recommend a good pair of cans? I am looking for a pair from 0$ - 125$ I’m sure i can grab a really good pair for that price, What i am looking for is proper Lows, Mids and highs but also GREAT Bass, Preferable that i can control properly.

Please leave links or if not at LEAST the names of the cans in the comments, Thank you very much in advance !

Also i is VERY important that i can get or they come with Velure pads, Im tired of generic pads.

ONE MOOOOORE thing, They need to be over the ear.

I have a pair of Samson SR850's which I picked up for less than 50. Modded them a bit to make them more open backed and added velour earcups for comfort (ebay for earcups). Work great. If you can, try and get a pair of Sennheiser HD558's (~$100 or more), and perform the foam mod, then let them burn in for a couple hundred hours, I had a pair before they were broken in an accident (friend sat on them).

AKG also have the K240 (~$70-$100?) which are amazing, you'll have to get earcups for those off ebay or something but they are like 5 bucks and totally worth it. The

Awesome, I will look into those. Does anyone else have any thoughts on the matter? I really want as many options as possible.

Edit: I also just looked at the Sennheiser HD 558 and i am really liking how those look, Sound, And the price, Everything is a Thumbs up so far and have also heard many great things about them as well, these are currently a priority as of now but i want more options.

I really hope more people will come and assist me on this matter o,o

I second the 558's. Excellent comfort, best sounding pair in my collection, easy to drive, look pretty good. What more could you ask for?

Also, I recommend trying the foam mod (do one ear at a time to see if you like the change). Not everyone prefers it, but I think it's a pretty nice upgrade that costs absolutely nothing.

Yea i am seeing a lot of great reviews on the 558's but i still want some more choices, i really wish more people would help me.

Well I can't say that I have a ton of experience with headphones that fit your exact criteria in that price range. I've got a set of HE-400's that I love, but those usually don't sell for less than $200 used.

Head-fi would probably be a good place to look. Post a thread in the Help & Recommendations forum with your criteria, and you might wanna add details about what sort of sound signature you like (v-shaped, flat, etc.) as well as if you have an amp or are willing to buy one.

There are quite simply a lot more headphone owners on Head-fi, and the users there tend to be collectors, so they should have a wider breadth of experience to speak from. Just keep in mind that there's a lot of snake oil and psuedo-science that gets spread like the plague around there, so take most of it with a grain of salt.

Alright i will try that out, Thank you very much for the advice, I REALLY appreciate it.

Glad I could help.
Like I said, though, be aware that Head-Fi members are notorious for believing that you can hear the difference between DACs that by all rights are indistinguishable, usually because one costs more and is prettier than the other.

Also beware the notorious flavor of the month cans.

I will keep an eye out for these people, Thanks again for your advice, And once more, IF anyone else has any thoughts on this, Please, By all means voice them, i am more then happy and open to hear what you all have to say :D
