Need an Opinion on a possible budget build

I noticed this on /r/buildapcsales/ and to me it seems like a really good deal for someone trying to build their first tower.

My question is, how good would a build with this and a 750ti be for someone just starting off? What are the pros and cons of building something with these parts? also assume I do have a HDD and an OS to go with it.

Thanks!

Wouldn't put that processor on that motherboard. Better to build your own.

And for what reason would that be? I'm curious to hear from someone who knows more about this stuff than I do.

AMD 8 core CPUs are very power hungry.  Most AM3+ using the 970 chipset are intended for the 6 core and under CPUs, and therefore have a weaker power delivery system.  If you stress the power delivery/VRMs with a power hungry CPU, they can overheat and end in random shutdowns or a burnt out motherboard.  It is important to have at least a 6+1 phase design, with proper cooling so that the motherboard can properly supply power to the CPU.

Says it has a 4+1 power phase design.  This is fine for 6 core CPUs and 4 core CPUs, but I would not recommend it for an 8 core CPU.

An exception to this "970 chipset" is Gigabyte's GA-970A-UD3P which uses a analog 8+2 power phase design.

So anyway, the board in the combo would probably work short-term, but may harm other components due to overheating or being overloaded.

Okay, I can understand the logic behind that. How short term would it work then if i did decide to go with this deal, and then maybe a month or 2 down the line replacing the Mobo with something that will better work? Or on the other hand, is it possible to get these components (a mobo, cpu, psu, case and ram) at the same price but more compatible with each other?

Pick up something like:
