I'm in need of a PC, built for editing, however I will be doing light gaming. I don't want to spend a lot of money on a graphics card if I don't have to. I have a budget of $600. However, If I save up money during the summer, I could maybe spend $800. By the way, this is my first PC. I would appreciate it if I got some help with builds for both the price points.
Define light gaming. Are we talking like Sims and LoL? Or are you talking Crysis 3, but only sometimes? My first thought is a 7850k build, which is great at light gaming. What kind of editing are you doing? What software will you be using?
EDIT: What are you looking at for storage? An SSD and a storage drive? Only an hdd? 3tb? 1tb?
Be careful on wanting a 'cheap' graphics card for editing. While the processor is theoretically more important for rendering, using technologies like CUDA from Nvidia and OpenCL from AMD, these are better as the graphics cards are higher end, are actually quite useful for video rendering.
Now this applies in only circumstances, like if you're using Premiere Pro, it will absolutely love tech like CUDA.
Also we're all happy to help you out, but as 1920 said, please talk about which games you want to play.
I've a build over here that might suit your needs. You could simply opt out of the water cooler and you should be all set.
Nice build, Logan did a video exactly describing the performance difference between the new 8320E etc processors and the 'standard' processors, like the 8370. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxkhfN93PII
Storage needs?
Monitor?
Other perfs?
Need an OS?
Format preference - mitx, matx, atx etc.
Here's a quick build - just add monitor, kb, mouse.

I don't plan on dazy chaining or use a 4k monitor. I'll be using a 1920 x 1080 monitor. I'll be editing with Adobe Premier Pro. Running Windows 8.1. Maybe one SSD for the OS and for some video's, maybe 240Gb, idk, and on HD with 2Tb. For gaming, maybe some GTA, Battle Field, and League.
Do you already have the monitor and OS already?
Something to consider. A 240gb ssd should have enough extra space for use with editing.
I already have a monitor, and I plan on buying a windows key once I finish my build.
I know thishas nothing reallt to do with tbis build really but does the processor make a large impact on streaming and is the amd fx 6300 going to be good enough?
If I were you I would try something like this, If you have any questions and/or concerns feel free to ask.

Nice build. realy.
I would definitely recommend the Xeon e3-1231-V3 for this kind of workload.
