Hi all I have recently built my 1st custom gaming pc and was wondering if I had to add additional fans (I may be planning on overclocking). Note: pls treat me as a newbie about fans.
I have a NZXT Phantom 410 case with 3 stock case fans, 140mm at the top and 120mm on the back and front. I need advice on what fans to get. My CPU cooler is a Phanteks PH-TC12dx and the orientation its in is blowing air up top the case (not the usall to the back of the case).
My problem now is what fans should I get, should I put 2 140mm on the front for more intake or 2 120mm should be fine??Also does a side fan needed?? (LED fans btw)
I have the 410 and mine cannot fit 2 140mm fans in the front. i would suggest noctua NF-F12 or if you want a little cheaper go for some fractal design fans.
Populating all possible fan mounts is the most optimal configuration possible. It helps with dust, thermals, and other things. You do not need to populate all fans, however.
As for LED fans, Silverstone Air Penetrators are a decent 120mm option. They have a good amount of static pressure and air flow. Good for radiators.
Well i have a side fan a it dose cool the gpu abit better because it has its own air source. Only like between 5 degrees celcius difference with side fan but it is a good idea.
I don't know what colour you want so i will just post a link for many fans.
