Any recommendations for a linux out of the box supported pcie wireless card?
This is my go to card for Linux support. Its dual-band 802.11/ac and uses the Intel 7260 which has great support on Linux.
As far as I can tell anything using an Intel chipset will work out of the box.
Literally anything not broadcom or killer.
In my experience Intel works great and so does Atheros but have had issues with some cards before, Realtek is generally pretty good also but as @FaunCB said its really mostly Broadcom that that has most of the issues and should stay away from them if you can help it.
Guess what the only thing was I had lying around…correct broadcom…
Atheros cards are stupid easy to find you won’t have any problem.
TP-Link WDN4800
edit: Fuck. I forgot to ask which Linux distribution.
I agree, this card works flawlessly on my systems. linux and windows.
