I'm looking for a $300 home teather PC that can also play games like battlefield 4 medium 720p  30-40 fps

And please try to source the parts from Amazon or custom PC.ie as I am Irish :)

I don't have alot of lower end pc gaming experience, but I would suggest getting a 750 Ti as a graphics card. It's quite cheap compared to more high-end ones, but would take up most of your budget. However, it would do BF4 1080p on Ultra with some tweaks in your desired framerate.

Low-end hardware is always a bit difficult since it's usually better to save a bit more to get an enormous performance boost. On the high-end side, the opposite is the case (look at the 780/780 Ti for example, 200$ are not worth <10fps more..).

Just a suggestion. Other people will be able to help you more I guess.

There is a price point where its better to just save up for few extra dollars in order to achieve a massive performance boost, id have to agree with boombudder on this one with the 750Ti if you want to play bf4 this along side with one of the new pentium cpus and your set. RAM im not to sure about ive always seen it as always 8GB being the best mark. Plus you going to need to add about $90-$100 on the OS so im not even sure a build like this is possible for $300

I cant see even an FM2+ build running BF4 for $300 with an OS taking up $100 of it....at that price, dare I say, a console will give you better gaming.

This is my take on it.

 

Grand total of 400 $, if you can extend your budget a bit. If not, you can play a little while with the onboard graphics of the cpu, until you save for a graphics card.

OS instead of the GPU to keep it at around 400$.
