Need a new PSU!

oh.. haha thanks for everything.. i'm getting this psu replaced due to the warranty and if things don't work out with it i'll go for one of the psu's you reccomended :D thanks so much

Yeahhhh....cheap power supplies are cheap for a reason, unless you want your power supply to double as a lighter :D

haha ok thanks, i found this one which was £50 and has had good reviews http://www.amazon.co.uk/XFX-P1-550S-XXB9-PRO550W-Edition-Supply/dp/B004RJ8EKI/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top could you tell me if this a good one please XD again terrible with this stuff.. also is there a way i could figure out whether it would fit into my case ??

XFX 450W is cheeeeeeeeeeeeap (and super-tastic!), or you can get the XFX 550W for future high-tier GPU needs. Again, it is cheap (...and super-tastic)

Get this supply! Get it! Get it! Get it!

This will fit any ATX or mATX chassis, and obviously upwards of that.

Ok thanks.. and are sure that it'll run the specs that i put with the post tho?

The XFX 550 Bronze + will run any "consumer-grade" platform, with a high-tier GPU, with overclocking, and plenty of headroom for extra drives such as additional HDDs.

Yes, I am sure. The XFX is basically a rebranded Seasonic. Really high-quality unit.

Thanks so much :D new to pc gaming and you've really helped me :D before i just thought higher the watts the better .. turns out my 750w psu is a piece of crap..

Thermaltake has this thing on clearance right now for $40. Not sure if it's applicable to your area though.

I just ordered one now (not sure how long the sale will last) but the shipping was $15 to Minnesota

700W is plenty for future upgrades. And it's silver

I'm sorry, but not to insult you, but the CX500 is not a good PSU. It does not belong in any modern rig, as the quality of the OEM is extremely low; it's apt to blow, basically. It does not belong at this budget.
