Long story short the Madcatz build quality is kicking in on my M.M.O. 7. Wheel used to be defective for a while doing multi clicks. Works fine as of lately but thumb button no. 1 is literally almost falling off and struggles to click now.
On a daily basis I make use of a majority of the MMO 7's buttons and thumb wheel (Game and normal use wise). Sending it out and need a replacement for in the mean time or to replace it at whole. I've been hunting around a ton and can't seem to find too much. I don't want anything that has a numpad style layout (razer naga, logitech G600).
So far my findings were pinned to:
TteSports Level 10M
- Anybody got any experience on these forums? It seems to be the decent find (I seriously couldn't care about all the 'bmw' and adjusting glory (As is I just about barely make use of that on the mmo 7 other than having thumb piece moved all the way forward - big hand) but I like the 4-way button + extra 2, at least gives me more options to work with)
Roccat Kone+
- Ruled out from reading multiple reports of many scroll wheel defects. And I make quite the heavy use of the scroll wheel. Click especially.
Corsair M90
- Unsure, I can deal with stiff buttons but software being in beta and never finished? Read that you can't macro mouse button presses. All I'd do is essentially same as a keyboard key.. press and hold or press and release. Same functionality.
Logitech G600
- Not liking ring finger button (I know by default it will be a hassle even though it's effect would be minimal to not there) nor the numpad layout.
Logitech G9x
- No extra keys, for the price might as well go SteelSeeries
What kind of suggestions or other finds would you guys have? If there's at least 4-6 buttons extra (including forward and back buttons) with multi profile support/macro I'd be happy with it. I'd like to avoid Madcatz, lol.
At the utmost minimum I'll settle for simple RMB/LMB/Wheel/Wheel Click/Forward/Back and dpi settings type mouse. i.e. steelseries or zowie. I'll take suggestions on those as well, though not the primary focus.
I'm in canada and looking to shop via newegg, willing to give ncix a try if something's available there that's cheaper/newegg doesn't have.
It's not too much personal pref as long as it isn't a tiny mouse, I'm used to adjusting to the differences and weight isn't too much a factor.
