Ok so I have had my Creative Fatal1ty headset for about 3 years now and the cable has started to fall apart, making static noise and the mute switch has stopped working.
I have found them for about the same price, with the 7H being about £15 more. I mostly use my headset for Teamspeak chatting, but I also use it to listen to music, gaming and sometimes use them to listen to movies.
i just got a pair of audio technica ATH-m50's about 2 weeks ago....
the sound quality is AMAZING! they are not surround headphones, but they sound way better than my old cyber snipa sonar 5.1's even in games like counter strike and battlefield.
imo, the surround sound headphones are not all that good at recreating surround, and the quality usually blows.
Thanks for the suggestion but I don't really want a surround sound headset. Know any good stero headsets or which one is the better out of the two I talked about?

Those are a little expensive for what I am looking at. I don't really need amazing sound quality just decent for light music, movies and gaming usage as I will mostly be using it for TeamSpeak. I also don't really want a surround sound headset, I already have 5.1 speakers. Thanks for the input.
well I have some vertex headphones frrom ifrog, fairly good quality a little on the expensive side. However sony has some headphones in the 20-30 dollar range that for the price are superb.

Razer Orca / Razer Carcharias
And btw, you can turn the surround off on the GameCom 780s. I listen to music with them just on regular "headphone" mode and they sound amazing. They have 1 driver in each earcup, not those stupid surround headphones that have like 4 in each.
These are about the best sounding headphones for around $100: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR7506-Professional-Diaphragm-Headphone/dp/B000AJIF4E/ref=dp_cp_ob_e_title_0
But, they do not have a mic. You can do like I do, and put a little mic on the table, lol.
There are better sounding headphones but not for $100.
