Errr the ASrock is a good starter board for the apu platform
asrock pro4 or better IMHO, they arent as cheap as you can get but, they are worth the extra cost, they overclock better then cheaper options for sure.

The price gets significantly more expensive, but the additional cost comes mainly in the form of a more future-proof motherboard and a significantly more powerful APU. This one has at least double the graphics processing cores and you can overclock it to death and back. Also, I always recommend getting something aside from the stock cooler as they serve about as much purpose as a pretty metal paperweight. Anyway, the most important part about the APU is that it has a shared memory pool that it draws from for the graphics and for the processor itself, so make it as fast as possible. So I stuck it with 8 GB of 2133 MHz memory, which is just a skip and a jump away from 2400+ on the ASRock board with XFast 555, ASRock's custom overclocking bios. The Power supply is more than sufficient to power any of the cards that this system would run Crossfire X with, for that you should look at AMD's page for it. And the case is, well, a case. There are nicer ones like the Fractal Design 3000, but this one works to hold everything and has a nifty looking piano-black and silver dual-toned front.
