Need a gaming mouse

Was thinking of getting  a proper gaming mouse, I have an old razer/microsoft mouse thing thats from, I think, 2007, drivers are extremely outdated and it has issues and sensor problems and all sorts, its ok, but I could do with something better. I was looking at the logitech g700, and g700s but they're a bot expensive, I'd really like a mouse thats less than £50, I really like the look of the rat 5, but with all the problems people have been reporting from it, I dont think it'd be a good idea. so, I'm wondering, what do you guys recommend?
I have large hands, and when I'm doing basic stuff I palm grip the mouse, I use claw for most games.
2 or more side buttons would be handy, I play league of legends quite a lot, I play other games such as fallout or skyrim.
I really like the look of the rat.5, then again I like the look of a lot of mine that look not much like it, futuristic style mice I guess are what I like, though im really not too partial on this point, as long as the mouse works.

Thanks for any suggestions!

You can get a Steelseries Sensei for half price if you get the Diablo three edition.

Ah, think is I'm in the uk, just checked amazon, its £42 here still sadly, then again, thats £10 off.

Oooh, didnt realise they had a navi edition, damn that mouse looks awesome

If you havent allready you should take a look at the logitech g400 or g500 (or even the "s" versions). They both got a great sensor and fit multiple grip styles.

been looking at those, they seem rather plain, but oh well, ive heard they're brilliant

G500s is on sale for $50 at newegg.  I loved my g500 until it developed the double click issue (something I'm told is remedied in the G500s).  I'm currently back on my G5, which is still a great mouse.  As a guy with fairly large hands as well, I haven't found a form factor that works as well for me as the G series/MX series logitechs.  That said, do try it out if you can before buying.  They're not for everyone.

I am using the G400s atm and i am really happy with it so far. I am afraid it might be a little small for really big hands though.

DUDE! get the logitech G600 mouse, i got it because i cut my fingers almost off on a table saw, so ive been playing one handed with this mouse for nine months now, and still smashing my opponents!!! its under 70 dollars too!!!

get a g400s.  I came from a deathadder 2013 and the g400s is leagues better.  Also, if you have oily hands like every human in the world, the g400s has some hydrophobic ish on it that keeps oil from leaving marks on it.

Yeah I was waiting for the G700s to come down in price, and low and behold - Amazon Cyber Monday sale. Bought it for $50! It's nice, very, very nice!

I've used a Razer Deathadder Black Edition before getting the G700s. Very nice mouse as well. It's on the big side. The buttons feel nice. Side buttons are pretty big compared to other mice. It has a nice-feeling mate coat over it so it doesn't get slippery after prolonged use. The middle button is a little stiff though. It's a great mouse nonetheless. I bought one around $50 as well. http://www.amazon.com/Razer-Deathadder-Infrared-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B002Q4U5DK

i have the corsair M65. i'm very happy with this, but it mainly depends what you wanna do with it (fps, mmo, work,...) and how big your hands are. there are some reviews on tek syn. and if you want second opinions you can check out hardwareheaven or dave chaos.

I had the rat 3 for a while and it was nice, the drivers on that thing sucked for me though. I wish I could tell you to get my current mouse, the gigabyte M8000X but it's discontinued.

Now you mention it i must agree my mouse is incredible clean compared to any mouse I've had so far. This is actually pretty nice :D

On an other note hydrophobic mean is repels water which would mean it attracts oils. What you're describing is lipophobic. However you're right about the hydrophobic coating. It is meant to get rid of sweat, which is mostly water. Now i wonder what the usual residue on my previous mice actually consist of. Dead skin and sweat? Is that it?

Looks like they've got a similar deal going for a Black Ops 2 version

I hate game specific devices but man what a discount

Get the A4Tech Bloody v3: http://bloody.tw/en/product.asp?cid=1&scid=&id=2

Why?

- good sensor, Pixart 3305dk, no negative acceleration just a very small amount of prediction.

- great value, comes bundled with two replacement set for the glide pads, and a microfiber cloth (you can also use the cloth to clean the thermal compound from your cpu/heatsink).

- just awesome software, the best macro support on the market.

- it also has an internal weight of 12 grams (might be more, I removed mine and I don't know where I put it) that you can remove. You have to open the mouse to do that though.

- ergonomical shape, some compare it to the Deathadder, while being bigger in length and the curvature a bit raised.

Why not?

- the left and right mouse buttons are a little harder to push than I am used to. You can change the switches for the mouse buttons with other switches if you are good at this stuff (it uses Huano switches and the Deathadder uses Omrons, I read on a forum that someone switched them and he was extremely happy with the result).

EDIT: I took some pictures when I took the mouse apart, I can post them here if you are interested in the insides.

get yourself a corsair m95. I'm using this mouse myself and i love it. Its decently big, tons of side buttons that you wont accidentally mash and looks pretty good. The only drawbacks are that it can be quite cold to the touch since its got an aluminium uni-body and also on the heavier side of things.

I've had a RAT 7 for a few years (since the series first came out), and I can tell you this: It's super comfortable in my hand, but some of the 'adjustment' stuff is absolute crap. The adjustable thumb rest is just not stable in any position except flat against the side of the mouse. The length adjustment works great though, and I really like the texture on the rear and right side of the mouse. The material has held up really well over extended use. I also really like the scroll wheel for some reason. It rolls really well. Maybe some of my concerns have been fixed in the updated versions - I haven't kept up with the updates - but I'd recommend it, I guess. I realize this is a  RAT 7 and you're looking at a RAT 5, but the construction qualities are probably similar.

palm grip btw.

Edit: oh right and I haven't experienced any tracking issues or anything. I remember that was a problem when they came out :/

I can vouch for the Sharkoon Darkglider and the Mionix Naos series personally.  (Dang I miss the ceramic feet the Darkglider has compared to the Naos though)
