Anyone here been using Nas4Free or Freenas with a reliable HBA to add HD's to their server? I built up my Nas4free box from my old Phenom X4 PC when I upgraded yet now only one of my sata HD's shows up in the FreeBSD system. All are detectable in the Bios though.
I've searched around and found that a lot of people are using the IBM M1015 which has an LSI controller on it and can be flashed to become a "dumb HBA" and pass all data through the card without touching it. Basically acting as a Sata III controller. Has anyone here had any experience with this card?
