how did you remove the glue?
I gently scraped it off.
Hi, so i replaced WIFI module with AX201. WIFI 6 worked without problems. Unfortunately BT had some troubles. I paired cheap chinese BT multimedia keyboard with touch-pad. It worked fine until i switched off the keyboard. After switching on again it would not reconnect. The only way to make it work was to pair it again and it would appear as a new keyboard in the devices. the same goes for restarting the pc. This keyboard works fine and reconnects fine on the original WIFI adapter. I returned to the original one for this reason.
I’m seeing high temps on my unit…
I’m running Win 11, qBittorrent, and HA OS via Hyper-V at 1 Core, 2GB RAM assigned to it.
previously i was running at 4 Cores, 4GB RAM, and it was hitting up to 90 degrees which caused throttling.
I do not remember if I have replaced the thermal paste when I disassembled my unit.
I have also bricked mine while trying to install a BIOS update which however turned out to be for DDR4 models (GMK G3) and not our pc.
After that, the mini pc was bricked but the power button, button led and fan were working. No ethernet leds or usb power though.
What I’ve tried:
At this point, mini pc totally dead. I’m thinking if it has to do with EC at that point. Is the EC firmware stored on that chip too? Anybody willing to share a working dump, I would be more than grateful!
Hey! Did you manage to get a dump of your firmware? Sadly I bricked mine and no matter what I flash, it doesn’t want to turn on…
Nope. I gave up and built myself an AM5 desktop.
Haha! That’s the way! Thank you anyways!
Hello everyone,
I found this discussion about the Firebat T8 Plus, and I have a specific question about fan control under Linux. Has anyone managed to control the fan on this device? The fan behavior seems quite erratic - it keeps turning on and off continuously, even though the CPU temperature remains relatively stable (between 45-48°C).
I’ve tried various approaches without success
If anyone has found a solution or has experienced similar issues, I’d greatly appreciate your input.
Thanks!
