I JUST built this computer and I downloaded every driver and all of the updates but my Blue Ball will not work. When I plug it in a red light comes on but when I go to the sound manager and look for Blue Ball Snowball it doesn't show up. It connects via a USB cable BTW. I did do a little research and found out that the USB audiodevice driver will not install. I have tried repeatedly to install it but it just will not install. Here are some more screenshots of what I mean.
are you trying to install a 32bit driver on a 64bit machine?

Are you using windows 8???
Other than that within the device manager and the audio device. (Screenshot in previous post) Go to the driver tab and tell it to uninstall any drivers if it has. Then unplug the mic and restart. Once fully restarted plug in the mic and wait for it to (hopefully) install drivers.
If you are using windows 8, there is a very likely chance that the device may not work yet until service pack 1 or a future update.
