can someone help me? my screen goes black while i entered the game after in the menu my screen goes black and i still hear the sound of the game my keyboard mouse etc are still working,this happen after i replace new pasta and thermal pad…can someone help me?
HDMI or Displayport connection ?
Are you using a KVM switchbox ?
Do you v-sync or free sync enabled? if so sounds like your video card or monitor doesn’t support it.

i’m using Displayport and my GPU is RTX 3060 Ti
i’m not using V-sync or free sync just normal even tho if i turn them on it’s still fine before this happen and it never happen like this before
right know i only can watching youtube and normal browsing but still can’t play the game
And my fan gpu are going fast (noisy) after that happen
Latest nvidia drivers? mobo drivers? can you alt + tab out of the game when it happens? is it just one game?
i’m using the latest nvidia version 566.36 and i can’t even alt+tab because it was black screen and i still hearing the game and all my fan including gpu fan going fast and noisy

and my motherboard was the latest too 15.1 my mother is b660m pro rs
if you replaced gpu thermal pads and paste then first item on your list is to check those.
What thermal paste did you use ?
Check for damage area and also if thermal paste was applied correctly, eg the spread on the gpu is even.
only blood strike was fine but the rest my other’s game like God of war 2018 ,spiderman marvel remastered,batman arkham knight,csgo 2,dead space remake and many games too start black screen but still my pc not shut down and i can once again hear sound from the game

and my thermal paste was cooler master cryofuze
Wasn’t there some kind of Black Screen issue with nVidia based GPU’s in the past couple of years that would blast the GPU fan speeds to 100 % ?
I can’t recall for sure but maybe a Power Supply issue ?
I know the 3000 and 4000 series had power connection issues a couple of years ago but don’t recall a blackscreen and fans at 100% issue.
@theeaglebearer do you have a spare gpu or a friend that can loan you a spare gpu to test out? Or a spare system to test the gpu in? But yea it sounds like your gpu is borked!
So everything was fine until the repaste and now it’s acting up? If that is the case, I would recommend going through everything to make sure the contact is good and everything is sitting good and tight. So basically do it again to make sure nothing went wrong. Before that you can check that the gpu is properly seated and power connectors are properly connected.
Sounds like a video card overheating on the menu which can happen if there is something triggering it. Turn the fan on the GPU straight up to 100 and test again
I ran into something like that once what fixed it for me was going into windows power settings and turning everything to high performance.
I am 70% sure its your displayport cable. get a club3d 6 foot cable and report back? the brand is important. randomly named amazon brands are crap.
