My pc needs a little upgrade!

Hello everybody!

Me, my pc and I... have a problem! I like to play games on my pc, the higher end games to be a little bit more specific.

I have got a pc with the following specs:

CPU : i5 3570k

Motherboard: Asus p8z77-v

GPU : EVGA GTX 670 FTW

SSD : got 1, want 2

HDD : got 1, maybe will be upgraded to a second one.

PSU : Corsair HX1000 Watt

That'd be it for what matters. So now to the problem, I want to upgrade to a second GTX 670 in SLI. Now what i know is that this mobo does support SLI but not in an optimal way, because if i'd put another gtx 670 into the PCI slot, the mobo will only let the PCI slots run in x4 or x8 speeds ( Not sure which ).

I don't want that to happen, so... it has to be an ATX sized motherboard, with the prefered color theme of blue yellow or just black. My case is the Fractal Design R4 with corsair sp120's inside of it with blue rings and a blue NZXT led. But yellow is oke since parts of the video cards are yellow too such as the "Geforce GTX" logo. I was thinking of the MSI Big Bang MPOWER.

So what motherboard do you guys recommend :)?

You're awesome,

( Note that i am not English nor American, and so my english isn't so good. I'm sorry for that. Just a dutchy here. )

It is only possible for your second GPU to run at x8, because Ivy Bridge only has 16 PCIe lanes, so two cards would run x8 x8. Your current board is perfectly fine.

But is it bad for my performance?

Not at all; the performance loss is minimal, if at all present, from x16 to x8. You will be perfectly fine :)

X8X8 pci-e 3.0 is equal to X16 X16 pci-e 2.0 so not at all indeed.
