I really enjoy ubuntu gnome 16.04 lately, but the lock screen is just annoying. It's not, that I could press accidentally some keys, while I put my 30 inch non-touch-screen in my pocket....
So I tried to disable it. In the settings -> privacy I disabled the screen shield. Didn't work, still there after resuming from standby. The disable screen shield extension didn't work for me either.
So, any ideas, how I can get rid of it completely?
Hm, I don't have a screen shield option in settings.
Whats annoying about it? I can see why you might want the option to disable it but it doesnt stop you logging in, literally just start typing your password and it goes away. Thankfully it immediately takes input.
Not at the machine I'm talking about. It lags and takes .5 to 2 sec to go away and sometimes it just stops half way.... So I figured it would be easier to remove it entirely than to debug it...
Sadly not an option for this machine. Standby and fast wake-up + login are essential for me.
