hello everyone! i'm gonna be building a new pc in about 15 days hopefully and i thought i'd list the specs and hope to get some feedback.
intel i7 4709k + be quiet dark rock 3 (light overclocking, my goal is 4.6 ghz)
asus z97 ranger
corsair 16gb ddr3 1600mhz lp
evga g2 supernova 850w
samsung 850 evo 240gb ssd (OS and skyrim + mods I LOVE SKYRIM!)
1tb seagate barracuda (video editing, recordings and whatnot)
2tb seagate barracuda (games and storage)
asus gtx strix 970
corsair carbide air 540 black + 3x 120mm be quiet fans in the front and one 140mm be quiet fan in the rear)
i'll be using my pc to play games, 1080 now and may step up to 1440p, if i do i'll grab another 970, that's why i bought a 850w psu to begin with. do you think i could get by with a 750w? and also, should i get the evga g2 750w, or corsair rm 750w? i do like my stuffs to be quiet since the case isn't optimized for silence like the fractal design r5 is, which i was going to go for originally, but the air 540 seems like a really cool case, and i want good airflow.
i've also heard that the seagates can be a bit loud.. how do you think about if i get a western digital green drives instead? will it cut my loading times in games by much? and also, will it affect writing and reading speeds of the storage by much? and do you think it'll really matter? what would YOU personally go with and why?
so i'll use my system to play games, 1080 or 1440p, and to do video rendering, recording gameplay of various games, and basically for anything in between. do you think it'll be a good system? anything i should change?
OBS some parts i've already bought, the motherboard, the ram and the graphicscard since they were on a sale. replies would be great :) thanks for reading.
