My New Build Idea

Hey guys!

I'm on the prowl for a new gaming PC, and I think I made a pretty good build! I'm just seeing what everyone thinks of it.

Specs-

  • Case - Old case (not sure of it but atx compatible) - $0
  • Mother Board - GigaByte GA-F2A85X-UP4 - $129.99
  • Power Supply- Rosewill Green Series RG630-S12 630W - $59.99
  • RAM- G.Skill Ripjaws X series (2 x 4 gb) - $39.99
  • CPU- AMD A10-5800k Trinity APU (3.8 Ghz base/ 4.2 ghz turbo) - $119.99
  • HDD - Seagate Barracuda 500 Gb 7200 RPM - $49.99
  • GPU - Nvidia Geforce 560 Ti (Not sure what brand since my friend is giving it to me) -  0$
  • Total from Newegg - $435.19 (Including shipping + taxes)

Hoping to get my whole system under $300 - $400.

This should help, In all you'll save $65, or $75 if you take the rebate on the motherboard I've suggested. this should bring you down to about $360-370

I stongly urge you to consider making the sugested changes.

Save $35 and get the Phenom 965 for about $85:

You can't crossfire the A10 5800k with the 560ti, so there is no benefit to spending any extra money on the integrated graphics of the A10. The 965 is certainly able to at least keep up with the 560ti so you shouldn't have any drop in FPS compared to the APU.

If you take my advice on that you'll need a new motherboard. Here is a very similar one for about $20 cheaper:

Also since you won't be using an APU you won't need any super clocked memory so you could just easily go with. Here AMD certified RAM (was tested to work with all AMD chipsets) made by patriot, so it's good stuff. It's still four gigs and clocked at 1600 MHZ so it will definately get you by.
