My mhash/s? and gpu temp?

ok so i have just started bitcoin mining and i have a few questions.

1) when i mine i start at a normal 300-400mhash/s but after 10 mins it slows right down to 300-400 KHASH/S i dont think thiss makes sense.

2) my gpu temp when i mine is a solid 95c and the fan speed is at 100% ( i have a xfx DD 7950)

im thinking both of them are connected.

all help is appreciated.

Basically, your card is overheating like hell. Either the cooler is complete crap or something is wrong with it. Like being clogged with dust or the thermal paste has dried out.

I suggest removing the cooler, cleaning any dust and reapplying thermal paste.

Your card is probably thermal throttling to prevent its impending death, make sure you have good airflow to the card, lower any overclocks (if you have overclocked) and try replacing the thermal paste.
