My HalfBuilt PC, Looking for Critique's of this component list

Before we get started, this PC is not complete...I only have my Case, CPU, HDDs, SSD  and the GPU at this time. I'm fixing my cars at the time and don't have money to spare to finish yet.

Link all parts to Newegg and give the item name.

First parts that I do have already.

HDD/SSD: Have a Crucial 240gb SSD for OS and main games, also have 3. 1tb HDDs 7200rpms. (going to use Win8 basic till Win10 comes)

GPU: MSI Geforce GTX 970 (Plan on later upgrading to 980 or greater in the future)

(side question when is Win10 possible release month/day?)

PSU is way overkill, ram latency makes zero difference as to does speed in most things, sabretooth mb is a decent choice - just be sure it has the 1708 BIOS or greater so it will support your cpu. Cooling wise H100i's are fine, but check out nzxt's range.

1300 Watts is way overkill for 99% of builds. You could Triple SLI GTX 970s and overclock your CPU and you'd still draw less than 1000 watts, let alone 1300.

Sabertooth is fine, but the M5A99FX Pro may be sufficient and a bit cheaper. MisteryAngel will probably chime in with a better answer if she sees this.

RAM is RAM as far as I'm concerned. I like G.Skill, Mushkin, and Crucial as my commonly available go-to brands. I dislike Corsair because I think they're overpriced and I don't care for Kingston because of the stunt they've pulled with their SSDs.

For air cooling you'll want a Phanteks PH-TC14PE, Cryorig R1, Thermalright SilverArrow, Akasa Venom Medusa, or Noctua DH-15 if they fit. For water the Corsair H100i is probably one of the only ones that will fit in your case.

Exactly what deejeta said. psu is way way overkill. and just get some cheap 1600mhz stuff. or whatever looks good.

I can do mobo if Mystery isn't here, do you have any specific features that you require? Do you wish to water-cool and OC very hard?

I'm looking to overclock moderate amount not extensive, the water cooling idea was from reviews about the CPU running hot and to try to clean up the look on the inside. Really as long as it will support 2 to 3 of those 970s and I can use my 3.0 ports on the case and will support atleast 32gb of ram.

Do you guys think the ram coolers are worth while or junk?

so a 1000W PSU would be able to support my build w/ 3 gpu's and a mild OC?

The FX-9370 is already an overclocked 8320/8350.  I wouldn't expect much of an overclock out of it.

2 970s is great, but 3 way scaling is really bad.  Go with 2 980s if you really want that much performance.

1000w is plenty for 3 980s.

^^^ don't go more than 2 970's just go 2 980's

ditto all, though you could probably power a fridge with that 1300 PSU to keep everything really chilly:). I generally think water cooling is overkill unless you want to overclock your balls off, maybe put the savings into an extra decent fan.

unless if you're trying to break world records overclocking your cpu cas latency is negligible. like jfing said get what looks good. g.skill and hyperx are good looking and reliable enough to survive a nuke hitting your pc. Also that psu is so OP it needs nerfed. Also DO NOT LISTEN TO SMEGMATRON ABOUT THE COOLER JUST DON'T THE 9000 SERIES MUST BE WATER COOLED PERIOD!!!!!!!!

Ok, well I updated the list off of suggestions, going EVGA 1000w, same price as the 850 so its just got spare room for possible upgrades in the future.

Do you allready have that FX cpu?

Because i personaly dont see any vallid reason to go with an AMD Cpu on a build like this.

Even a locked haswell i5 will perform better in gaming then that FX9370. especialy cpu bound games at 1080p. a FX9370 needs an expensive mobo and decent cooling to run it. if you count that into price, then a locked 4690 with H97 board will be cheaper, but will be a much better allrounder in gaming.

?
If a cpu runs so hot at stock that it must be watercooled, don't buy it! Overclocking is a diff story though
