He wants to upgrade his graphics card to the AMD 6670 2gb, but I'm not sure if it will be compatible as I don't think his motherboard supports 2gb?
If it doesn't, can any of you reccomend a cheap new motherboard and/or cpu for him please? We are in the UK aswell. Thanks.
motherboards dont limit how much memory your graphics card has, unless its integrated
I'm just wondering.. why are you getting a 6670 with 2gb of memory? As far as I know a 1 gb card would be cheaper too.
He will be fine and the card will be compatible, as phosgene said motherboards dont limit how much memory your graphics card has, unless its integrated. Just make sure it can fit in his case and I would reccommend that later down the line he upgrades his CPU (and consequently motherboard) to get the best from his gaming performance.
