My friend is looking for a laptop

Okay, so my friend is looking to buy a laptop. He is looking for a good quality laptop, and he has given me some things he would like to use it for.

1. Gaming. He has given me a small list of games he would like to play: TF2

                                                                                                                WoW

                                                                                                               World Of Tanks

                                                                                                              World Of Warplanes

                                                                                                                 Maybe GW2

                                                                                                                Minecraft

                                                                                                                Some kind of Flight Simulator

(No need for maxed out settings)

2. Schoolwork. He would like it to do well with all of Microsoft office

3. Browsing the internet

He doesn't really have a preference of brand or a budget, but I don't think it's possible to go crazy with the budget.

Thanks everyone!

pretty much what i have, but with an ivy. upgrade the ram to 8 gigs.

what size of laptop would he prefer.  You can look at some a-10s for relativly cheap mobile gaming.

Toshiba Satellite S855D-S5256: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834214872

The size does'nt matter I believe.

Hey, this is a problem for me! I have a laptop too, and people at the tech stores (best buy, future shop) told me i absoloutley cannot upgrade it. How do I? My laptop is here:

beyond adding more ram, laptops are pretty locked up.....

what I posted will run most games. i run tf2 on the intel 3000 version at max settings..... as long as you upgrade the ram, you'll be fine....

Okay so do you think he needs the 3000 version?

By the way we are in Canada! If that changes anything

nononono. 4000 is better. did not mean to imply that

what I posted is basically a pc version of the 15" macbook pro, for $1100 less......
