My First PC Build

Hi everyone i'll be doing my very first computer build in a few days.

Here is my list of parts

AMD Phenom II X4 965

XFX PRO650W Core Edition

Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 7200RPM 64MB SataIII 3.5"

 ASRock 970 Extreme4

MSI Radeon HD7850 Twin Frozer III 2GB

CoolerMaster HAF 912 Plus

Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600Mhz DDR3

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I know there is no Dvd drive nor wireless card ( i have windows 7 64bit on a harddrive and i can get the wireless card somewhere)

I have a couple of questions

Is there anywhere that i can cheapean this build without compremising performance.

and also Is this a good set up for mainly gaming

I am for portugal and this entire setup costs 660€ ( its about 870$)

i dont intend on going over that price mark.

also the only part i cant change is the cpu as i ordered it from amazon UK as it was 6€ cheaper so it's on the way.

This is my first post and computer build i hope it works!

Also sorry if i posted this on the wrong section and sorry if i misspelled anything

Luís

good gaming build i cant see anything that will cheapen the build possibly just get a cheaper 7850 2gb but then you are in portugal its quite hot so yea overall pretty Badass build check mine out if you want

Bom Dia from the US, you can save some euros by getting a smaller power supply. XFX 550 can handle your system with no issues and save you a few euros.Other then that, its a pretty solid system and there is really nothing else to change. You did a nice job on your list!

Thanks for the help!

:P silly time differences when you said bom dia i was like but its 4:30 pm haha

Thank you!!

When you get her together , come back and show us how she looks and tell us how fast it is in games.Cheers Silva!

Will do john!

Hey if it isn't to much to ask.

Would it be a good idea to switch the graphics card from what is currently on the list to a XFX Radeon HD6870 XXX Edition 1Gb, as it is about 30€ cheaper and im trying to save up as much as i can.

Would it make to much of a difference?

You can if you want to, most games would still be very much playable with a HD6870. Here http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/540?vs=549 a bench of the HD6870 vs the HD7850, most games will still play on high settings with the HD6870. Take a look at the benchmarks i linked and make a judgement for yourself if the card will play the games you want at the FPS you want. They are both good graphics cards that will do very well in gaming.

Thank you so much man!

it all depends im going to try to get the 7850 but if not there is always that option :P

thanks again!
