Everything looks great, maybe just go with a good cpu aircooler.
Do you have any good suggestions for good air coolers for me? Thanks by the way for the quick reply :)
The two best air coolers on the market right now are the Phanteks PH-TC14PE and the Noctua NH-D14.
I personally really wouldn't recommend the 800D because it has terrible airflow.
you forgot the thermalright silver arrow, it's as good as, if not better than those two
Yeah, the Silver Arrow is definitely comparable. I'm pretty sure it lags behind the NH-D14 by a degree or two at full load with heavy overclocks though.
Thanks for the suggestions and what would you go for instead of the 800D
I would go for something like a Cooler Master HAF X, CM Storm Stryker, CM Cosmos II, NZXT Phantom 820, or NZXT Switch 810. Actually, if you like the styling of the 800D, you'll probably like the NZXT Switch 810 more than anything else. They make a black version and a white version.
rosewill thor v2
ehhh, benchmarks really are sujective as to their reliability, i've head bothe ends of the story, but the silver arrow has bigger fans a 140 and a 150 mil, vs noctua's 120 and 140.... still, not much difference aside from asthetics
Well thanks for the suggestions again I really apreciate it I will be changing my case probably for the phantom 820 :) but im gonna have to read up on all the rest tommorow so good night to all of you and thank you very much :).
I was looking at the Thermalright Silver Arrow i find it to be the most interesting one for my build but i wanted to know if it will fit with the corsair dominator platinum or is the cooler to big?
Hello fellow Canadian! Everything looks good, but I'd consider getting a 7970 instead. It has 3GBs of ram, so it's gonna rock high res. And IMO AMD cards generally have more bang-for-buck, plus if you get one with a custom cooler, you can oc them way past the 680.
I noticed, though, your way behind your budget. With that budget, you might as well buy a 690 or 7990 while still keeping the 3770k and everything else. It is for gaming. Save yourself the headache of seting up and using SLI/CrossFire. And you want it to be futureproof. Trust me, with a 690 or 7990, you won't need an upgrade for a long time.
Drop the 3770k to a 3570k. Not much of a difference gaming wise.
Also go with a couple of EVGA 4gb 680s http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130799
True, but he wanted it to be future proof, and in the future the 3770K will be much more needed than the 3570K.
And seriously, who'd want to drop more than $3000 of cold hard cash on a PC and get an i5? Any PC builder would get the i7 for if they had a budget higher than, say, $2500. The only builder who wouldn't are stupid people and BitCoin Miners.
Totally agree. Phantek for air cooling. the noctua fan design allow for great cfms in push or pull or if you wanna go all out push/pull configs :D if only noctua had more color options lol
