My First PC Build Thoughts Please?

Hello 2 Weeks ago i built a Gaming Pc What are you thoughts?

-intel i5 4460 processor
-gigabyte h81m-h motherboard
-nvidia geforce gt 610 1gb (gonna upgrade next month because making some games lag)
-2x4gb ram corsair vengeance
-1tb WD hard drive
-500w cooler master power supply
-black antec case
-cooler master red led fan

Feedback welcome to parts i can upgrade on or change
thanks :)

looks good to me except the motherboard.

i would personaly advice to look for a H97 chipset motherboard.
The 4460 is a haswell refresh cpu, and "might" need a bios update to be fully supported on a H81 board.

If you are lucky, it could work out of the box on H81 boards, but its still a gamble.

Wait , did you actually physically build it yet or are these the parts you had in mind?

this is already been built.. and sorry mistery i dont no what you mean about the motherboard.. and well the motherboard goes with the motherboard no? when brought off amazon was made clear you can order these together?

regards

i mean motherboard goes with processor ? dont it

It does, but it may need a BIOS update.

meanin what .. sorry to sound stupid ? lol

wenn you have allready build it, and it works fine?
the bios was probably allready updated in the factory then..

lucky? how could i check if it wasent working lol?

help tip.. how can i check if its up to date?

p.s i wanan get a ge-force 750 next month cuz some are not smooth on the rubbish one i got now lol or can recommend a diff one

see my post above ☺

About a GPU i would advice to save a a bit more money, and buy a Beefier GPU then a GTX750.

so your saying because it works fine no update needed (y) ok

ok any suggestions mate?

depending on budget a bit.

  • Sapphire R9-290 TriX OC would be a very nice choice.
  • Sapphire R9-290X TriX OC
  • GTX970, various models.

If you can afford some of those higherend cards, then i would recommend that.

if it was under 200 maybe ill get one haha

Under $200,- then you might take a look at a R9-280 or GTX960.
These cards should be arround the $200,- mark.

thats better ;) ahah
