My first PC build! I need some help and recommendations. ~$1500 rig for video editing, VFX and of course gaming!

So I am going to be building a PC for the first time in the next month. I am going to film school and wanted to build my own PC for video editing, and vfx and also gaming! So here's what I have been thinking about, and hopefully you can give me suggestions and help answer my questions.

I know I want to get an Intel i7-3930k for the CPU. I also was thinking about gettin an Nvidia GTX 680 GPU, but I wasn't sure which manufacturer to get. What's the difference between these, and which would you recommend? I was leaning towards the Classified EVGA.http://pcpartpicker.com/part/galaxy-video-card-68nqh6dn6dxz http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-04gp43688krhttp://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-04gp43687krhttp://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-video-card-gvn680oc4gd http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-video-card-n680gtxtwinfrozr4gd5oc

I don't have any idea what CPU cooler to get. I was planning on overclocking my cpu to as high as I can take it, if that helps. I was looking at this:http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-cpu-cooler-rr212e20pkr1

I have no idea what motherboard to get. I had heard good things about the Asus Sabertooth X79, so was leaning toward that. Is there a different one you'd recommend, and if so why?

The same goes for RAM. I wanted around 16 gb, but is it worth it over the 8 gb?

Finally, I wanted a case that was black, mostly rectangular and with a side panel window. More like sleek and classy rather than full of LEDs and flashy. I was looking at the Corsair 800D. I also wanted it to be quiet.

So, what do you think? Any suggestions? Or recommendations?

If you really want to overclock, get like a corsair H100i or a more expensive air cooler, this will let you overclock, but not by that much.

for the ram, i dont know the demands of your software but i doubt you'll need more than 8 gigs. I game and edit with sony vegas pro and i've rarely needed more than 60% of my 8 gigs. If you do needf more, just purchase more later.

This is all the advice i have.

Vidoe editing definitely will benefit from more than 8gb of memory.  Whether or not you NEED it, different story.

So for overclocking get the Corsair H100i? Is that what you recommend? And for RAM how about this? http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-memory-cml16gx3m4a2133c11b

What about the different GPU manufacturers? Any reason why I should get something other than EVGA? And in terms of the EVGA ones, should I get this one with a backplate or the classified one? Here they are:

I do a lot of editing in Premiere Pro and VFX in After Effects both CS6.  How about this RAM?:

Would you recommend a non EVGA GPU for any reason? And with the EVGA ones, is it better to get the classified or the one with the backplate? Here they both are:

And of these motherboards, do you recommend any specifically?

if you are using hd material for premiere it is worth getting more ram

if you into AE the recommended ram is 24gig ( or say 2 gig per cpu core + 3 gig for system)

every 3d application (even AE loves vram so if you have the money go with the ftw 4gig version)

but you can also go with a (min) 1,5 gig gtx 570 for premiere alone (if it isCS6) however you can do a gtx hack anyway

the bord is fine, depends on your external gear needs

Saw the Titanium Grey with window going for 90$ on pcpartpicker, forget the actual site. It's a darker grey though so I don't mind it.
