My First PC Build... Help Please? :)

Hello guys. I'm new here :D. Um... I've been thinking of making a new computer with a budget of $1700 for video editing/gaming/all around purposes. I'm confused on which one is better, Ivy Bridge, or Haswell. I heard from places that Ivy Bridge overclocks better or something, and that haswell doesn't but that it has new instruction sets, etc. etc.. I was also thinking of getting the 3930k or the new ivy-e because I'm not going to upgrade my computer for 4-5 years, and I want something that would last. I would like your opinions of which one is better to buy. Also, how is the gtx 760? I looked at videos/forums, and it said that it was a good card for the price. Finally, I have a list of parts I wish to get(no hate please, just explain why certain parts are bad/not useful/you could get something better). A lot of the parts are limited because I wish to get them from microcenter.

Intel Core i7 3930K 3.2GHz LGA 2011 Boxed Processo

ASUS SABERTOOTH X79 Socket 2011 X79 ATX Intel Moth \

Western Digital WD Black 1TB 7,200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/

Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR3-1866 PC3-15000) CL9 Qu

EVGA 02G-P4-2765-KR NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 Supercl (subject to change, waiting for 9000 amd series)

EVGA SuperNOVA NEX650G 650 Watt ATX 12V Power Supp (filler: I don't know what to use here)

Fractal Design Define R4 Mid Tower ATX Computer Ca

Corsair Hydro Series H80i Extreme Performance Liqu

 - Samsung 840 Pro Series MZ-7PD128BW 128GB SATA 6.0G

Things I would change would be the PSU, getting one that will last a longer time might be the way to go and alsot he case is only a mid-tower, I would suggest getting atleast a full tower to give yourself room to upgrade. Those two things can really hinder your ability to upgrade in the future.
The 760 is a pretty solid card, though it you want to not upgrade for 4-5 years I would suggest a more powerful card like a 780 or a 770. But if you don't want to spend the money on those cards you can look into getting an AMD 7970 for pretty cheap as the new GPU series will be coming out soon so everyone is trying to get rid of them and the 7970 beats the 760.
With Regards to the CPU Haswell is about 10-15% faster than Ivy but runs a bit hotter if you overclock.

You can probably get a some stuff off of hear and save money. Like $105 for a 3TB HDD get it.

Could you recommend me a good power supply?

Depends how much money you are willing to spend on it. But just more Watts generally speaking.

Do you think I should go for a 3930k(or ivy bridge e) or dual sli gtx 760?
