My First PC Build: $800 Budget Build

  • Budget = about 800
  • I Live in the USA. Looking to buy all from newegg.com or amazon
  • Need the Computer and a MONITOR. BUT MONITOR IS NOT A PART OF THE BUDGET, I AM RECEIVING IT AS A GIFT, LET ME KNOW A GOOD MONITOR FOR AROUND 90-100 (1920-1080)
  • Looking to be able to play bf4 on ultra highest settings, never below 60 fps (give or take haha)
  • Wouldn't mind overclocking
  • No water cooling
  • OS = Thinking of booting off a "free" disk of windows (torrents? IS IT POSSIBLE?)

If you Game- Yes.

  • I would like to play at full 1080p, ultra all settings 60 fps.
  • Would be playing at 1080p
  • BF4, CoD Ghosts, Chivalry, DAYZ, League of Legends, CS:GO, Garry's Mod, ARMA II. Etc.

^ That's the build I'm Thinking of. I only included the fan controller because the mobo doesnt support 4 fans, plus I think its kinda cool :P. Would my PSU be able to power them? Also please let me know if my CPU Cooler and GPU Would fit in the case.

Total on newegg in cart is only $829.81

I plan on buying on black Friday or cyber Monday, or should I buy it right now? Please let me know if I should change anything, or how this machine would run. I also need to know if it's possible to torrent windows onto a disk, and boot it on this rig for free.

Any tips or suggestions would be fantastic as well.

Readjust your build so you can buy windows.

Wait until black Friday and cyber Monday. Also make sure you get emails from newegg sometimes they give deals that beat amazon prices.

Dont know what to drop to readjust, I feel like its definately possible to maybe install even a demo version of windows, and from there I'd know what to do.

Turns out the case wouldnt have enough clearance for the GPU, so I adjusted and got this

Newegg's price = $831.

What do you think?

As gpu goes why not the xfx 79503gb dd. It's 384 bit with 3gb to and I think it has a clock speed of 850 and boost 950  but you can oc it easily to 7970 and 280 speeds. Also it's almost 50 dollars less

Try this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1UgeK

I heard there was a huge difference in preformance between that GPU and the one I have in my revised build. I'm not worried about OS, ill just get Ubuntu Linux, then install windows 7.
