Hello everybody I want to build my first pc but I'm a bit confused on what currently have will work this what I currently have in my wishlist

  • AMD A10-5800K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor
  • pex Vortex 3620 ATX Mid Tower Case
  • Samsung SH-224BB DVD/CD Writer
  • ASRock 960GM/U3S3 FX Micro ATX  AM3+ Motherboard
  • HIS Radeon HD 7870 2GB Video Card
  • XFX 550W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply
  • G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
  • Seagate Barracuda 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Hello everybody at teksyndicate I'm new to pc gaming and I want to build my own computer but not really sure what to get I would  really appreciate a lot of things of listed I got from the $550 build that Logan did a while back but I'm not sure what to really get if I could get something better I want to keep the budget roughly close to $550 if you guys at tek syndicate could tell me if I should keep the grapics card and stick with the AMD A10-5800K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor or will it better to keep the graphics card?. I was going to get a AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor but they were out of stock in newegg if you can let me know where I can buy one that would be great. I would really appreciate if you guys can give me your opinion on my first build that would be great thank you very much for your time reading this and have a nice day

get the FX-6300 instead of an APU

also an A10-5800K is FM2 and wont work in a AM3+ motherboard, and a 970 motherboard would be better

get 1600mhz ram also, the speed makes no difference

I just built my pc and I love it! How ever if I where you I would get a 660ti over the HIS 7870. I had a 7870 was just not as fast as I would have liked. For $30-50 you can get a 660ti and be just as happy. Nice build!

the 7870 is much faster than the 660ti

especially with 12.11 drivers
