My First Build- Please Help

Okay so i ordered my mobo off of newegg

GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

and i ordered ram that was on sale 25 dollars cheaper

The order has shipped already and i just realized that the ram is for intel and this is an amd build. Do I need to send back the ram or would it work with the amd motherboard? 

The processor is the AMD FX 6350 6 core processor in case this is needed too.

Please help me this is my first build and I don't know what to do.

The Ram just has support for Intel XMP profiles.  Not Intel specific.

If you want to be sure check the G.Skill website for a list of compatible motherboards and your motherboards QVL list on the Gigabyte website.

the gigabyte board will only support up to ram up to 1866

will the ram not run at all or will it just clock down to 1866?

Thats what im wondering. I havent recieved the shipment yet, and im not sure if i should open it.

The ram will run at 2000mhz (OC) or higher it appears, as long as you are using an AM3+ cpu.
