Hello everyone,
My name is Bram, I'm 18 years old and I'm from the Netherlands.
After a long time of console gaming (PS2, XB360 and PS4) I am now gaining interest in the whole 'PC Gaming world'.
I am now saving money to buy a decent PC for around 700-800 dollars/euros (mouse+keyboard+monitor EXCLUDED).
So I put a list together with all the parts that are hopefully quite good yet affordable.
I don't know anything about all these parts so if some of you could give your honest opinion about it I would really appreciate that!
-Intel Core i5 4670K Boxed
-MSI H81M-P33
-Gigabyte GV-N960WF2OC-4GD
-WD GreenWD20EZRX
-Cooler Master N200 Window
-Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
-Crucial Ballistix Sport-S2CP4G3D1609DS1S00
-EVGA 500W 80 Plus
-maybe an SSD
BTW, keep in mind that I am from Holland so my English might suck in some sentences.

its pretty good. I would change the motherboard to a newer chipset MSI Z97 PC MATE 89$ and the hdd to hybrid Seagate ST1000DX001 €79.87 so you dont even need a ssd (the Caviar Greens are terrible for gaming, you should always go with Caviar Black if WD)
I have also made you an alternate build using partpicker.de as I understand the german prices are very similar
The Xeon isnt overclockable but it is basically an i7 without the integrated graphics, so better than an i5

Thank you very much! But I read somewhere that seagate isn't very reliable? And why did you change the GPU to a 2GB variant?
I have that same seagate in my pc right now, its very fast and reliable ;)
I changed the GPU because of price, if you can afford the 4gb go for it
Seagates 1 and 2TB are reliable and fast. the 3tb ones are not reliable.
Grab a Z chipset motherboard to utilise the overclocking capability of any K edition processor. Alternatively, get a non-K processor, and place it on a motherboard of your choice. Ask if you're unsure
Happy gaming
Oke thanks, this is my list right now.
Will this work?

That's fine. Can you show me alternative, similarly-priced motherboards? I want to see if there is a better alternative. If that is the only motherboard that is affordable, you will be satisfied with this build
The xeon build I posted is more powerful than the i5...
Go with the xeon 1231v3 and grab a R9 280x which should fit the and cheap out on the motherboard since the cpu cant overclocked and overclocking your cpu is not really worth it.
Depends on the task. Hyper-threading is useful in some instances, and not usually in games. Both are good CPUs; I'd say it is buyer's discretion and specific requirements. And as always I'd probably side with whatever is cheapest. The difference in gaming performance will fall in the margin of error
And if it makes you feel a tiny bit better, I hadn't looked at your builds.
the Intel Core i5 4670K is pretty good CPU for gaming. It would be more then i need sense i usually keep my games at medium setting 1080p. If you can fit it in the budget i would recommend an SSD, i mean even ONLY puting your OS on a SSD would create the huge convince of a snappy OS boot.
Okay thank you. This is my wishlist right now: http://tweakers.net/gallery/678659/wenslijst/
Would be pretty solid right?
And will 550W be plenty?
550W is plenty. You've got a decent amount of headroom for additional components, and overclocking. Thumbs up
