My first build. any suggestions, comments or ideas?

hi community,

this is my first time postin on the forum but i've been a long time viewer of the tek. I just got a summer internship, so since i got the extra cash i'm going ahead and fulfiling my life long dream to build a pc. I've made a build and already went ahead and bought the video card and i'm interested to see if anyone has any suggestions and to make sure i'm doing this right.

I'm gonna use this pc mainly for gaming/programming and to learn and play with overclocking. other then the parts listed there I have all my peripherals including an os and I'm also willing to put in another $100 to $150.

Thanks for all the help

Pretty good build honestly.  However, if you are willing to spend an extra $100 on this build, then let's use it.  I added the AMD FX-8350 as the processor to replace the FX-6350, I replaced the CPU heatsink with the CM Hyper 212 Evo, and I changed the motherboard to the ASRock 990FX Extreme3 since the 990FX boards have more features and overclock better than the 970FX boards, and this one was only $20 more.  Enjoy!

Quick note, this does come out to be $910 with the mail-in rebates and promos included, so if you wanted to save some money, you could just stick with the 970FX motherboard, use cheaper RAM, get a smaller hard drive, or use a cheaper case.
